Step By Step Instructions to program an NFC using the NFC Tools Application

Step 1

If you have not done so yet, download the NFC Tools Application (Free). Open the "NFC Tools App as seen here.

Select the "Write" Tab.

Step 2

Select "Add Record."

Step 3

Here you will see many different types of ways you can program your NFC's. For this particular case, we are programing your website address so that any user can collect that information upon tapping your NFC Tag.

Click on "URL / URI" to add a URL record.

Step 4

Fill in each the field on this form.

When done tap "OK" at the top right corner.

Step 5

Click on the "Write" button. Here you will see how much data your NFC Tag will require. This example shows 25 Bytes. You will also see the information below it that will be transferred to the NFC tag. Tap/Place the top of your phone on the NFC tag. Sometimes there may be interference from the phone case or surrounding area. try moving your phone around the tag or remove the case to complete.

Step 6

You will know you were successful when you receive a blue check mark or the "Ready to Scan" disappears.

Step 7

Test the NFC tag to see if you successfully programmed your NFC tag. Simply close the App and hover your phone over the NFC tag.
